Founded in May 2016, Ramsay Investments seeks to help educate and advise clients on risk management, diversification and portfolio allocation with the goal of helping them achieve their long-term investment goals.
Through the exploration of alternative investments and helpful insights from years of experience in the industry, our clients gain control and understanding of their portfolios and increase exposure to the a broader and more holistic landscape of investment ideas.
Management
David Ramsay is the Founder & President of Ramsay Investments. He has spent his entire career in the finance industry, and brings a diverse and unique knowledge of the investment process. Through proper diversification, risk management and portfolio allocation, he believes it is possible to achieve long-term financial goals.
He spent nearly 5 years working for Bridgewater Associates, the largest and one of the most successful hedge funds in the world. While at Bridgewater, David worked in both the trading and client service departments. David left Bridgewater in 2015 to join Purple Valley Capital, a Commodity Trading Advisor that has been around since 2008. In May 2016, he left to start Ramsay Investments. He is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and is a member of the National Futures Association.
David graduated from Williams College in 2009 with a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Psychology. He was also a member of the Men's Ice Hockey and Golf teams.
